All the students who study any field of design or architecture in polytechnics or universities around the Baltic Sea area are entitled to participate in the competition.
Baltic Modo design competition looks for a concept to the village of Viinistu. The concept answers to the question "What keeps it blue?". The designer has to take nature and factors affecting humans in consideration already at the designing phase. The designer also has to try to improve and integrate the existing structures.

Baltic Modo 2009 Design Competition has its own cartoon figure – Erika. She is the extremity, who you need to convince by your design.
The patron of the competition is former Prime Minister of Finland Mr. Paavo Lipponen.
Please note that the entries deadline on the first stage has been changed from 5th January 2009 to 9th January 2009, so you have four more days to send your entry to us!
